Sometimes you don't know how to manage your stress. And at those times, stress tries to manage you. In all ways.

But if the amount of stress that you have is taking over you, you really have to do something about it. And at times a little amount of stress (called eustress) is good for you. Be it help prepare you for exams by pushing you to think that not studying would result in you failing it or maybe not completing a particular task can result in your entire team suffering. Stress (read eustress) can help you prioritise. It can clearly make you realise what's important and what's not and what needs to be done before and if you're all laid back about something and you need to get it done really soon. There's a problem. A little amount of stress can help you with that. So opposite to popular belief, stress can help you out 'as well'.

And at times..... it gets over you completely. And that is when you need to know it. That is when you need to manage your stress levels. Depending on your occupation, your stress levels can get really high. Students tend get stressed out especially the ones who get good grades because that is what they put their all into. But is stressing over your grades helping you learn otherwise? It's not.

So yeah. This is when you need to manage your stress for which the very first thing is to drink enough water. Because a high amount of stress can lead to some form of cramps in your tummy which aren't so nice(of course) so let's get the additional issues sorted out first. Next up. Breathe. Give yourself some space. Look around. You might realise how much you're missing out on. Overthinking about anything - be it an exam, or a relationship, your weight, it can seriously take the life out of your life. You get what I mean?

So yes. Give yourself space. Force yourself to mingle with friends. Force yourself to take up a sport and play it or in most extreme cases, find what your hobby is and spend your time doing that.

Eat well. The solution to so many problems.

In the beginning you would definitely think you're doing something wrong. It'll stress you out a bit more but that's completely fine. Maybe try taking steps toward getting over your stress and think it this way. You might be phobic of failing an exam due to which you avoid situations that can lead you to fail one. So plan well by taking steps one at a time, to help you get over it.

Lastly, chill out. Exercise. Take a massage or a pedicure or a manicure or a facial. Really, all of this helps. And if you're too lazy to do it. Get it done at home. Meditating, by the way, helps pretty much if you practice it routinely.

So know where to manage your stress and how to - and of course, where not to.
